The ThisAbility Junior Board is a team of motivated, creative teens and young adults (ages 13–21) who are stepping up to make a difference. From fundraising and volunteering to brainstorming ideas and leading inclusive projects, these young leaders are helping shape the future of our organization — and their communities.

What We Do

✨ How to Join the ThisAbility Junior Board
Age Range: 13–19 up to 21 depending on the applicant
Step 1: Contact Us
Send an email to ThisAbilityJRBoard@gmail.com letting us know you're interested in joining.
Include your name, age, school, grade, current programs and a few sentences about why you’d like to be part of the Junior Board and anything else you'd like us to know.
Step 2: Wait to Hear From Us
We’ll reach out within 72 hours to let you know if you’ve been selected to move forward.
Step 3: Parent/Guardian Consent (if under 18)
If selected, We'll send a short online form that your parent or guardian must complete if you're under 18.
Step 4: Attend an Intro Meeting
If selected, you’ll be invited to join an upcoming Junior Board meeting to meet the group and learn more.
Step 5: Complete Onboarding
New members will receive a short onboarding packet and overview. Once completed, you’ll officially be a part of the team!
Step 6: Get Involved!
After onboarding, you’ll be able to participate in meetings, volunteer opportunities, projects, and team events as a full Junior Board member.
