Imagine you just gave birth and the Doctor tells you your beautiful baby has been diagnosed with a rare medical condition. How would you feel?  Would you know where to turn for resources? Emotional Support? Would you want to know what services are available for your family?

​

Every 4 ½ minutes, a baby is born with a birth defect in the United States. That is nearly 120,000 babies affected by birth defects each year. This number does not include the 1 in every 80 children diagnosed with autism, the older children diagnosed with other conditions, or the children who have tragic accidents that cause permanent disabilities.

An unexpected diagnosis is very difficult news to hear, and you are likely to experience a range of difficult emotions. Waiting for the results of tests or a diagnosis can be agonizing. There are so many families who have children with special needs who lack community support and resources and we provide that to them.
